Magic in Sisal

I had the great honor of knowing Sisal a beautiful port in the Yucatecan peninsula and witch was the entrance of Carlota of Habsburg in November of 1865 in her stay in Yucatan. Although this will undoubtedly be another time, I would like now to narrate this magical encounter with a marriage of artesans who live as we all want buy only few dare. Don Rene Lopez and his wife Doña Martha Castañeda, live as they say, “We live from what the sea gives us., and not only from fishing but the art we make with sea shells. These sea shells sometimes appear just on their shore or simply the immense blue of the waves brings them to their feet, so they sped time collecting them for only one purpose, to make “Real Art”. One of the techniques used by Don Rene is the one called, crossection of a snail witch is known to be an attribute to the God Quetzalcoatl, since this has been represents by the Toltec people as the scared verb creator.
